Manga Award when he was the foreign minister. Because of rumors that he was reading Rozen Maiden, a manga in which many beautiful girl dolls appear,
he was even nicknamed "Rozen Aso" or "Rozen Kakka [Mr. Rozen]." There is even a shop in Akihabara now handling Aso character items
for the presidential race, making him something like a universally recognized pro-otaku politician.

麻生氏が読んだ中でのお気に入り漫画は、プロの殺し屋の冒険を描いた名作シリーズ「ゴルゴ13」だと言われています。外務大臣であったときに、彼は
「国際漫画賞」を創設しました。彼が多くの美少女人形が登場するマンガ「ローゼンメイデン」を読んでいたという噂から、「ローゼン麻生」や「ローゼン閣下」との
愛称で呼ばれることもありました。総裁選の間の現在、秋葉原には麻生氏のイラストを用いた商品を扱う店さえあります。

と言う事で。普通に「日本人が海外にこうやってコラムを発信している」訳ですな。なんつーか「もはやこれ世界的規模でローゼン麻生呼ばわりされるのか？」で。
